Designer Eric Raisina Creates Christmas Tree for Raffles Grand Hotel dAngkor

Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor, Yuletide treeMove over, John Galliano. Another conform engineer has worked his sorcery upon a yuletide surprise, this time in a run of Siem Reaps most superb hotel, a Raffles Grand Hotel dAngkor. You may have seen his conform upon a runways of Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Lacroix as well as New York Fashion week, but now Madagascar-born, Cambodian-based engineer Eric Raisina has crafted a Yuletide tree thats sure to get tongues wagging. Inspired by traditional hold up upon a Mekong River, Raisina designed a non-traditional tree out of fishing equipment used by local Cambodians. Adorned with hand-woven fishing nets as well as bamboo fishing rods as well as baskets, a tree takes center theatre in a run of a glamorous hotel. The recent Yuletide Tree lighting rite heralded a start of festivities throughout a road house which will culminate in a highly-anticipated New Years Eve Gala celebration by a pool, with fireworks ringing in 2011.
